    The Scan Back Process -

We begin by illuminating your art with specially designed copy lights which have less flicker, produce less heat and have reduced UV emissions which all help to preserve your original art.

We then copy the image with Scan Back technology. This is not flatbed scanning or traditional digital photography. This is a merger of large format photography with digital line scanning hardware capable of ultra high resolution captures. Additionally, scanning backs have significantly better color accuracy than either film or other digital camera technologies making this a unique process that is effective at preserving incredible detail and is a preferred method of museum archiving and quality fine art reproduction worldwide.

Once we have a digital file of your art, we can duplicate it by printing to various medias including canvas, fine art paper and exhibition quality photo paper.

All our prints are created with pigment based archival inks which are UV stable for a lifetime, so fading is not a concern when properly displayed. These inks are also permanently bonded into the media substrate or otherwise affixed with a protective sealer to ensure that the image will be durable enough to ship, handle and display for years to come.

If you like we can add a title or other finishing details to your print for you. We can also trim, mat, back and individually wrap each piece with a Certificate of Authenticity in protective, resealable acid-free sleeves, completely ready for you to simply sign and sell.

There is a one time capture fee associated with each piece of art we scan. This fee is separate from the cost of each print and affords you the opportunity to return at a later date for additional prints at no additional set-up charge (1 year free image archival with longer terms available).

If you intend to have prints made at greater intervals than one year at a time you should purchase an archive CD/DVD of your scan at the time it is originally created and provide it to us when you are ready to print again.
